Washington is the first state to prioritize low-cost leases as part of the Washington Electric Vehicle Instant Rebates program, making EVs affordable for all Washingtonians. All EV models qualify for IRA Federal Tax Credits if leased. Washington residents can use the IRA Federal Tax Credit to lease an EV for under $200 a month, with at least seven models available for less than $200 a month.

Only battery electric passenger vehicles (BEVs) are eligible for Washington Electric Vehicle Instant Rebates. No traditional hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), or electric motorcycles are eligible. Internal combustion engine vehicles that have been converted or retrofitted to be battery powered are not eligible. Only vehicles sold for less than $90,000 (pre-government taxes and fees but inclusive of dealer and manufacturer options) and having a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating under 10,000 lbs. are eligible for Washington Electric Vehicle Instant Rebates.
Eligible vehicles must meet all Washington laws to be driven on the road and be in good working condition.
*Dealers and manufacturers may offer credits on vehicles not currently eligible for the federal tax credit. Not all versions of a model may be eligible for the tax credit. Talk with your dealer or check fueleconomy.gov to learn more.
